What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Skin While Coughing?
What can cause a pins and needles sensation over the skin when coughing? I don t get this often but it s quite uncomfortable. Literally feels like being pricked with pins. I m hoping this is possibly small spikes in blood pressure induced by the cough? I should mention that I woke in the middle of the night feeling like I m getting a UTI & have been taking Advil for bladder pain since morning. I have not taken my temp but now occurs to me I should. Could it be the Advil? I take quite a bit regularly for arthritis I believe is caused by undiagnosed Lyme D. I believe I have it but have not had one MD. ever taken it or me seriously. Makes it hard to like y all. Just brush it off & assume I don t have Lyme, what can cause the pins and needles? It really does hurt. I am 52 yr what female, very tall & thin. If that helps you. Thanks for any thoughts you might have. Shannyn
The tingling sensation only while coughing may be in concern with stress or anxiety rather than pathology. If on and off persistent tingling with pins and needle sensation even without an episode of coughing, that can be matter of great concern as vitamin B12 deficiency, zinc, magnesium improper levels, side effect of certain drugs; uncontrolled diabetes or others, skin issues of atopic allergy and others.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
