What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Left Side Of The Face?

My sister has been to the ER with symptoms of tingling/pins and needles almost burning sensation in her left side of her face and head. She also had a plugged ear. Dr checked her over and can t find a cause. She was referred to an ear nose and throat specialist who found nothing wrong in her ears. Now referred her for an MRI. This has now been 4 days since it started. They ruled out stroke but everyone seems confused. I very seen things like it could be an allergic reaction or migraine but could those last 5 days ?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the tingling of left side face for 5 days persistent can be part of underlying facial nerve compression or else.

Kindly consult an expert neurologist for evaluation of vital neurologic signs of the sensory-motor system as many of the times you get normal MRI findings with such cases.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
