What Causes Tingling And Numbness In Tongue While Doing Cardio Exercises?
I have been working out at the gym 5-6 days a week for 5 years. My cardio is about an hour broken up into sets on the elyptical trainer. Today for the first time ever my tongue went tingly numb on the left side and stayed that way until I took a break. Once I started working hard again the sensation came back. When I finished my cardio for the day my tongue stopped being numb. What is this from and should I be concerned?
Dear HCM user here is your Physician to help you out after carefully reviewing your case. I have a vast experience in treating patients like this and in my expert opinion you need not to worry much. I don't think so that the nerve supply to tongue has been disturbed or so. Although during exercise some changes in blood supply occur frequently. I think you need not to worry right now. But remember , if you feel something more than this or any additional signs/symptoms please consult your physician thereafter.
Thank you and have a nice time ahead. Stay blessed and happy always, and may you get well soon. Accept my sincere thanks once again for trusting me and taking my consultancy. Regards: DR. HANIF MD (USA) PHILADELPHIA PA USA
