What Causes Tingling And Numbness In The Middle Finger Of Right Hand?

I ve been experiencing tingling and numbness mainly in my middle finger of my right hand and occasionally my index finger. I was diagnosed with breast cancer 7mths ago and had a lumpectomy on the right breast, however the numbness and tingling has only started in the last month or so and becoming more frequent. Could this be a nerve issue from the surgery on my breast. I have no pain in my arm or wrist. I experience this more at night.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I believe it can be related to nerve compression due to fibrotic tissue formation after surgery. You may need to get tested by neurologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
