What Causes Tightness Or Squeezing Feeling In My Chest?

What does the following sentence mean it came off of my TEE test. There is evidence of patency of the foramen ovale with right-to-left shunting following the injection of agitated saline echo contrast For nine weeks I have had extreme fatigue, facial numbness on both sides of my face, occasional dizziness, extreme headaches for three weeks which are gone now but still have the throbbing an numbness in face. I have been have a tightness or squeezing feeling in my chest for about two weeks now. They have been testing me for everything I now have a neurologist and a cardiologist. I just had the TEE two days ago and pulled the report from online access. Any thoughts?

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of severe tightness in the chest and shoulder. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are either due to musculoskeletal problems, acid reflux, chest infection , asthma and cardiac problems. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult general physician for proper examination. Doctor may order ECG , TMT , troponin t test and complete blood profile. Doctor may prescribe calcium channel blockers, muscle relaxants and sedative. Doctor may refer you to cardiologist/ orthopedician for further treatment. You can start with physical therapy as well. Doctor may also refer you to allergy specialist or to chest specialist for chest infection.
