What Causes Tightness In Throat And Chest?

Hello doctor.. I am having trouble swallowing.. throat and chest feel very tight.. my arms and legs also slowly start going numb but that only lasts for a few mins then back to normal.. the throat tightness stay all day.. what could this be? i have also gone off drugs for a few months.. i was abusing xanax and norcos for a few years. sober now for a few months.. could this be causing my problems/

These can be grouped under nervous system (brain and nerves), obstruction within the throat or esophagus, or compression from neighbouring structures. To rule out obstruction or compression, certain tests like a CT scan or barium meal may be needed.
I would suggest you see a doctor for proper assessment.
