What Causes Tightness In The Spine While Bending From The Waist?

I have a weird feeling when my spine touches something like a chair or car seat or when I lie on my bed. Feels like I m lying on rocks. I recently had a bulging disc but it s been 4 months. Still can t bend from waist and when I try stretching it it feels very tight and like it is ripping apart. I would like to know about the sensation in my spine.

Hello,

As you had the disc injury in the intervertebral column of the lumbar region which I can understand from the history have you ever tried to work out for exercises which are more of stabilizing the core, spinal column and hip joint?

This is the major things to do before doing the stretching exercises as with the stability exercises the spine muscles relax and release the symptoms of the nerve impingement. Post which the tightness in the spinal column reduces and then stretching can be performed. If done in the beginning then may lead to overexcitation of the spine nerve towards the muscles which may make it stiffer.

In my clinical practice of over 12 years, most cases I have seen till date will spinal disc injuries have responded well to specific programs than in general what is available on the net.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
