What Causes Tightness In Skull Base, Dizziness And Vertigo?

Base of skull very tight feeling, not painful but a lot of dizziness and vertigo, sinus pressure also headache is mild. very persistent and scary symptoms, ENT says whiplash, Family doctor says allergies. can you tell me what for sure? Gets much worse when lying down. Scared to sleep.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have tightness in skull base, dizziness and vertigo. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like cervical spondylosis , cervical radiculopathy or migraine . I would suggest you to consult neurologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may order CT scan or MRI to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe betablockers , or diuretics along with drugs like vasograine . Doctor may also refer you to orthopedic surgeon for for cervical problem .
