What Causes Tightness In Abdomen And Blood In Urine After Abdominal Exercise?
I did a intense abdominal workout. My abs got extremely tight and are now swollen. My urine has a tinge of blood and my back hurts. I went to the ER and they said I was fine. To stop taking the birth control I have just been put on. They said my liver enzymes were elevated but told me to just follow up with my family doctor. Basically said didn t have anything to do with the workout. I just don t think this is right. What are your thoughts

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have tightness in abdomen and blood in urine after abdominal exercise. There can be two reason for symptoms you mention in query most common is Urinary tract infection. Urine examination would be done. Presence of Pus cells , tissue and red blood cell will suggest infection. Antibiotics will be needed , second there can be stones in the kidney, bladder or ureter may cause bleeding if small stone gets passed through urinary tract. Sometimes heavy exercise can also cause such symptoms . So you should visit your urologist, if problem persist or reoccurs.
