What Causes Tight Sensation In The Left Armpit?

I was doing chest exercises and I felt tightness under my left arm pit and put the weights down, I looked at it and I could feel my tendon. However, the location of tendon was right underneath my arm and it was bulging out, but started to go back to normal after I put the weights down. The location was more closer to Teres Major or lats insertion rather than pec insertion. My main question is, I feel stiffness for the most part and I can feel that there’s something, no pain, no loss of function. Is it normal for tendons to bulge out like that?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your symptoms seem to be related to tendinitis which is an inflammation of the tendon. I suggest you to take anti-inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
