What Causes Tight Sensation In The Chest After An Endoscopy?

I had an endoscopy and colonoscopy yesterday. The moment I woke up from in recovery I felt a big bump on my lips and my chest was tight. I couldn t take deep breathes. The breathing has gotten better but I still have this bump on the inside of my upper lip. Why would I have this?! I ve had an endoscopy before and this has NEVER happened to me.

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

The bump may be due to mild trauma that occur when the tube was inserted into the mouth.

Trauma can occur with these studies.

The use of anti inflammatory medications, if you can use these, would help eg naproxen or ibuprofen.
I hope this helps
