What Causes Throat Pain While Laughing With History Of Pneumonia?

I have a sharp pain on one side of my throat that I only feel when laughing or sometimes when making certain noises. I had pneumonia about 2 months ago which caused a lot of throat irritation. The antibiotics cleared up everything but a lingering sharp pain that seemed to be in the back of my throat. The pain now only occurs occasionally such as when laughing.

Hi,

I think you should visit an ENT doc for a clinical examination of your throat. It seems that there is ulceration at the back of the throat.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Salah Saad Shoman, Internal Medicine Specialist
