What Causes Throat Pain And Popping Sensation In The Ears?

hello I have a hurt throat. It is not pain like strep but it feels like a bruise on the right side of my throat. It s around the lymphnode area and goes all the way up to my ear. My ear pops and cracks everytime I move my jaw. A big black vein pulse s on my right side of the throat whenever I cough. Is this serious?

Hi,

As per your query, you have symptoms of throat pain and popping sensation in the ears which is due to upper respiratory tract infection leading to granular pharyngitis and eustachian tube dysfunction.

Need not to worry about it. Visit ENT specialist once and get some routine blood investigation done. Go for otoscopic examination and start treatment accordingly. I would suggest you to
- Gargle warm saline rinses and take a diet rich in multivitamins.
- Take steam inhalation through nose and mouth will help including the ear discomfort.
- You should take the proper course of antibiotics along with anti-inflammatory medications as well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
