What Causes Throat Pain And Feeling Of Mucus Struck In Throat?

Hi, my left side of my throat hurts a little and that just started what seems today, I've been having a feeling of mucous stuck on that side of my throat for awhile now but when I hack it up it is kind of like a white clear bubbly like spit looking mucous but tastes like phlegm I guess, can you help?

Hello,
There could be mucus collection in throat and there could be two reasons for that---
1. nasal disease in which the mucus from the nose trickles down the throat
2. reflux disease from the stomach in food pipe which irritates the throat . the acid from the stomach comes up in the food pipe and irritates it.
Get an ENT consultation for the treatment.
Precautions--
Keep head end of bed elevated.
Avoid alcohol, Smoking
Do brisk walking daily
Go for walk after dinner
Avoid spicy food     
Avoid late night coffee
