What Causes Throat Discomfort After Snorting Methamphetamine?

I m a singer and have been snorting meth. Not much as my mania kicks in and I forget to get high believe it or not. But over a year or two period of time, I noticed I can t sing well as normal while using it and it s especially when I have the drive to do so as my anti/psychotic/mood stabilizer deem me unmotivated and useless.

Hi,

I can understand your concern. Snorting Methamphetamine regularly results in throat trauma and this ultimately results in permanent damage to voice. This is the reason you are facing problems in singing.

You also have a lack of motivation and for this, a good mood stabilizer and antidepressant are needed. Methamphetamine use only increases the psychological problems and will not help you. You have to quit Methamphetamine completely and progressively you should focus on yourself. Give your voice rest for a couple of weeks and you will be alright.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Seikhoo Bishnoi,
