What Causes The Steroid Injections Taken On The Scalp To Be Painful?

I am having steroid shots in my scalp for hair loss. the last set of shots were more painful than any others. the doctor did say that this is the time that he saw an increase in density of my hair and now we can go to every other month. question, why was it more painful this time

Pain has nothing to do with the growth or no growth of hair. It depends on the person' s tolerance and doctor' s technique of giving shots. Sometime volume of shot given and depth of akin punctured also make the difference.
But otherwise there is no relation of the growth and pain.
