good morning, I am concerned about my friend. He is 46 years old, with diabetes and high blood pressure. He is frustrated that he can not enjoy sex like he wants, like he used to be able to. His penis does not get hard erection. Is this a sign of his medical conditions and is there something he can do?
He needs to consult qualified Physician for management of Diabetes and Hypertension . Once both these factors are well controlled there are high chances of regaining his erectile power and resolve the issue. Dr.Patil
Hi this is called diabetic erectile dysfunction. It has many different causes like sluggishness of penile blood flow, penile neuropathy, hypogonadism, and psychological causes. As it is often a combination of one of these causes, it requires thorough evaluation. A consultation with an endocrinologist or a physician is advised. All the best.
