                                                                 yes my son just had major surgury because come to find out he has a hole in this diapram and a hernia on his stomach and then 1/2 of his stomach popped threw the diapram then twisted in to a figure 8 i was wondering if you would be able to tell me how this happens?

Hernia is result of protrusion of organ or fatty tissue from natural opening due to weakness of the area or opening. These opening normally exist in the body but either due to weakening of muscle at opening or due to high pressure near the opening cause protrusion through opening.
This is surgical case and can e easily cure by surgical intervention.
