What Causes Termination Of Menstruation?

My wife had her LMP on the 3rd of June. on the 11th of june we had unprotected sex and she took i pill the next day. Now it is already 53 days since LMP but no sign of any period. She did pregnency test twice at home by those strips and resulted negetive. Should she take Gynaecosid ?

Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion as june 3 was her 1 st day of period then 11 th comes under safe period. And the ipill is effective in 95% cases if taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex.So the chances of pregnancy are rare.Ipill might effect the timing and amount of bleeding so the delay might be due to ipill. You can wait for spontaneous onset of period for a week more. And if still no period consult gynaecologist for further management.
