ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
this complaint is very common in Cold . Very acceptable reason is: The smell perception plays 50% role in taste sensation. When there is cold it causes mucus collection and nasal blockage which affects smell perception.
Secondly the non pathogenic bacterias in mouth will become pathogenic causes coating of tongue therby covers the tastebuds. These are all possible reasons. Brush twice daily, gargle with salt water thrice daily, drink vitamin C rich fruits. You will be alright.take care
