What Causes Symptoms Of Hyperthyroid When Diagnosed With Hypothyroidism?

Hello, I was just diagnosed with hypothyrodism. My blood work says 8. My doctor tells me that it is hypo and not hyper thyroid. the thing is all my symptoms are as is I had hyperthyroid. I suffer from severe insomnia, I am agitated, anxious. Can these symptoms occur even if you are hypo and not hyper. Thank you. Suzanne

Dear sussane over active thyroid symptoms include Sudden weight loss, even when your appetite and the amount and type of food you eat remain the same or even increase
Rapid heartbeat
Nervousness, anxiety and irritability
Tremor
Sweating
Changes in menstrual patterns
Increased sensitivity to heat
Changes in bowel patterns, especially more frequent bowel movements
An enlarged thyroid gland
Fatigue, muscle weakness
Difficulty sleeping
Skin thinning
Fine, brittle hair etc....Dear susszane insomnia,agitation,Fatigue.
Weakness.Weight gain or increased difficulty losing weight.Coarse, dry hair.
Dry, rough pale skin.Hair loss.
