Respected Sir ! My wife is 33 years old. She is mother of two children. She has weight of around 85 kg. Her height is 5 feet. For the last few months she was having swelling in the second finger of his right hand. Due to swelling she had to face severe pain and also some times it becomes very difficult to move the finger. When i consulted with a orthopadic doc he said that this may be due to increase of uric acid and suggested a test. One test was CRP and other was For Uric Acid. Test results revealed that value of uric acid is within range but value or CRP was higher than range. The doctor suggested that sometimes uric acid test results are within range but there is some problem of uric acid so he started medicine for it. But after the use of doc prescribed medicine there was no releif for pain and swelling of my wife s finger. So i consulted a family doctor. That doc on examination of hand informed me that this might be Artharitis. That doc advised two test one is for RA Factor and 2nd for Anti Ds DNA. The test for RA FActor was ok but value of Anti DS DNA was way above the prescribed range. The doc advised my wife to use 2 Delta Cotrel5mg and 1 Voltral 50 in morning and same at evening. According to my wife she is feeling relived after using medicines but the second fnger is now ok. But swelling is shifted to third and fifth finger of right hand. The doctor told me to continue medicine for few days than reduce the Delta Cotrl 5mg for one time. Also someone informed me that Delta Cotrl is a steriod . I am confused what to do . Can you suggest me something . Also the symtoms described are of Artharitius

What Causes Swollen Finger And Severe Pain?

If just one finger is swollen, the possible causes include trauma, infection, or inflammatory conditions, such as arthritis. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
