What Causes Swollen Elbows And Hair Loss While Suffering From Arterial Clot In Kidney?

Arterial clot left kidney. First lupus positive second negative seen by hematologist. Now with painful swollen elbows stiff knees hair loss and headaches everyday. Should I see a rheumatogist next? Hematologist had no reason for clot just taking aspirin 325 mg. Everyday.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the swollen elbows with hair loss and clot in the kidney arterial system sound to be in relation with possible auto immune disorder affecting multiple systems of the body.

There is requirement of evaluation of certain specific tests in this regard as particular antibody levels, complement pathway evaluation with values. The immunologist is best consultant to deal with the issue rather than a rheumatologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
