What Causes Swollen Bump Behind Front Teeth?

I have a bump behind my top two front teeth. It only hurts when it s touched. It is swollen, but doesn t seem to be discolored. Bottom teeth are constantly touching it and so is tongue. Has been hurting for 2-4 days now. Have gargled with peroxide, used oral antisthetic and have gargled with warm salt water. I am 20 years old, female, no major medical history

Hello

Thanks for consulting hcm

Read your query swelling behind front teeth can be due to dental infection it might be due to trauma or periodontal infection . Formation of periodontal abscess due to deposition of calculus or gingival abscess due to enlargement of gums.
Dont be worried so much I will suggest you to consult oral surgeon for clinical examination of gums and investigation like iopa xray to get proper diagnosis . inmeantime do you can apply gum paint like Stolin on gums .

Hope this will help you .
