What Causes Swollen And Tender Spot On Arm Post IV Infusion?

An IV attempt at hospital caused a vein collapse (no big deal), but a week later, this area in my hand is really red. Feels hot inside , if that makes sense, not to the touch. I ve just never heard of an infection stemming from this, hoping it s just the healing process??? It is still swollen and tender

hai,accoroding to my opinion this is local haematoma mostly because of puncture veins better you put ointment thrombophobe 4 times daily that releives . and take pain killer if need take one antibiotic also.are still not cure better consult doctor.
