What Causes Swelling, Redness And Burning Sensation In The Face After A 3-mile-motorcycle Ride ?

My husband rode his motorcycle for 3 miles at night. When he got off, his face was red, swollen, tingling, tight and had a burning sensation. He look weird, flushed, red and felt hot. It eventually subsided. Got back on his motorcycle and rode home. Same thing. What is this, should we be alarmed?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Based on these symptoms that you have describe above I think that these are symptoms of inflammation. So, I think that he could have a face infection, but, I need to see an attached picture of his face in order to define better the diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
