A couple days ago I noticed swelling of left inside wrist, near thumb. It was pink, warm, and swollen tight at first. My temp was 99.0 degrees F. The area of pinkness was about the size of a quarter. This morning it is not tight, but the swelling seems to be over a vein 2 inches from thumb. The area of pink has spread father out from the wrist toward the elbow. It is tender to the touch but hurt more at first. I may have some arthritis in back of left hand, have had steroid injection in that, but not for some time. I am concerned because it seems to be in the vein. No injury that I can think of. Thank you.
