What Causes Swelling On The Head Above The Ears?

I have a small amount of soft swelling on the side of my head just above my ear. I get severe headaches and scatterness. When i push on the spot it is sore but relieves and pressure in my head. Yet after pressing i am left with an indent for a short period.

Size and color of skin over lesion help in diagnosis.
