What causes swelling on the ankles while suffering from elevated eosinophil count?

Why would my left ankle swell up every day for a week.i have RAbut it doesn’t feel like that. I also have a very High eosinophilia count and lung nodules from the RA. I started getting Fascerna shots at Yale once a month. My breathing is bad so I use inhalers and a nebulizer. This is the first time I had this bad ankle swelling and I was wondering if you had any ideas. Thanks

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The swelling of ankles can be related to arthritis. Raised eosinophil count may not be related.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

My GI diagnosed me with IBS in April. However, everytime I experience an Attack a fever is always associated with it. Last night I had a fever of 102 along with my attack. I am suffering severe joint and muscle pain which is also not associated with IBS. I am mostly concerned because while I going through the diagnostic process with my GI for the month of March, repeated blood tests shown my eosinophil levels were elevated. And I have been dealing with these on and off again fevers. I spoke with my GI today and they did not offer much help. I know my primary care physician is not going to be of much help either. What do I do? What is with the repeated fevers?
