Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I noticed a swelling on my right leg about 3 weeks ago - it is about 3 or 4 inches below the knee on the right calf muscle. It doesn´t seem to be attached to the bone and also sometimes varies in size depending on whether I flex the muscle or not !! It is painless.
As the swelling region, you are talking about is painless then its nothing to worry. Because any swelling occurs in a tissue can be due to a pathology of the tissues leading to swelling. As there doesn't seem to be having any pathology I think you should not worry much.
But as this must be bothering you in the mind about what to do with his swelling when nothing is wrong then I will advise you to regular ankle toe movements which will help the leg muscle to move and get the muscle imbalance correction and a result will be less space for any abnormal fluid accumulation to happen.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
