Hello Dr., I am Simmi from India. My age is 37 years. Two months ago after taking bath when i was coming out from bathroom suddenly i slipped on to a very hard surface and i injured my head badly. After few minutes i noticed that swelling started and swelling was horrible. I took all necessary steps. Met with Dr and took medicine and injection. Hi there,
I am Dr. Deepak, I work in Emergency Department, where I see many patients with injury to their head. As you mentioned you had injured your head 2 months back while you were coming out of the bath room. You had shown to a doctor and he had gave you proper advice which you followed.
I feel you had sustained minor injury to your head.
The swelling due to injury still persist. I feel swelling is because of the blood clot that has hardened.
I suggest if the swelling is under the hair where no one is able to notice it then you need to worry about it, as I don't think it is causing any problem to you.
If the swelling is over the forehead, or close to eye, where it is noticeable by others, and you are very worried when it will go down. Then I would recommend you to show a Plastic Surgeon, he will be help you out with it.
Thank you
Hope your concern was dealt with and hope you have a speedy recovery.
