Hi i ve had a bad sore throat and my mum bought me the Noflux Lysozyme Chloride 90 mg tablet. I ve took that for one whole day, 2 tablets each time, and 3 times a day. Today I woke up with swelling eyes and face, and there are small tiny white breakouts on my face. What happened?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
This is due to allergy to Noflux lysozyme chloride. Allergies occur when your immune system reacts to a foreign body. Foreign body may medicine like medicine, pollen, animal dander, dust and insect venom etc. When you have allergies, your immune system makes antibodies that identify a particular allergen as harmful, even though it isn't. When you come into contact with the allergen, your immune system's reaction can inflame your skin, sinuses, airways or digestive system. The severity of allergies varies from person to person and can range from minor rash to anaphylaxis — a potentially life-threatening emergency
Advice
1.     Immediately stop Noflux lysozyme chloride and never take it in future
2.     Injection hydroxyzine intramuscular every 8 hours – three doses then hydroxyzine 10 mg every 8 hours per oral daily for next 6 days
3.     Injection dexamethasone twice daily for 1 day then dexamethasone 0.5 mg twice daily per oral for next 6 days
4.     You can apply calamine lotion for rash on face – three times daily – will provide soothing effect
5.     Immediately go to hospital if you have any sign of anaphylaxis such as breathing difficulty, low blood pressure, nausea/vomiting, throat constriction, unconsciousness etc
Thanks
