What Causes Swelling Of Belly Button?

So, as of about 20 minutes ago my belly button swelled shut and there is this awful stinging along with the swelling. There is a small bump on the inner rim of my belly button, and I have no idea what Is happening. Should I be concerned? Should I go to an ER?

Hi,
As per your descriptions,it might be of boil or cellulitis or small cyst or rarely hematoma.
Youust take antibiotics (cephalosporins preferred) with analgesics and antiinflammatories to get rid off infection completely.
Don't apply neosporin or bandage because they have no role rather you must take antibiotics orally.
You can also take antihistamines orally or topic drugs.
Consult general surgeon for further advise.
