What Causes Swelling In The Upper Eyelid?

I have been experiencing a swollen upper eyelid after a fall hitting my head what could be going wrong My eye has been swollen for almost 3months Yes I have been to eye Dr and he has scheduled me for cataract surgery! He said he would contact her another Dr about my left eye swelling Help please

information provided by you seems incomplete, it's better if you mention Depth if injury like wheather it restricted to eyelid only or extended to cornea / balbar part?
injury to eyelid : not to worry , swelling will resolve itself in few days to week , simple symptomatic treatment is enough .
if there is reduced vision or vision loss or any serious symptoms seen please consult opthalmologist.
