Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For a few months I have had some swelling on the front of the shaft of my penis. It started with some more pronounced veins when I have an erection. Toward the end of sexual activity the swelling of the veins becomes a single swollen bubble. Sometimes that swelling lasts for some time after I lose the erection. I had gone to a urologist a couple months ago but he didn t seem concerned. The again, there was nothing to see when I was flaccid. There is no real pain or discoloration. Any thoughts?
Maybe you are having balanitis. That is an infection of the glans penis. It ill subsides in 2-3 days. But for quick relief, you can also take a 3-day course of antibiotics like Amoxiclav three times a day for 3 days and continue warm compressions. abstain from vigorous masturbation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
