What Causes Swelling In The Salivary Gland?

I have a blocked salivary gland for 2 weeks finishing antibiotics on monday Last thurs I woke up and saw the swollen gland on my rt side which changed from a circular lump in my neck to an elongated lump Does that mean that the swelling is disappating?

If the pain is gone, the problem could be settling. At this lime, chewing on a sour lozenge after food would help to wash away all debris in the gland and hasten recovery.
