What Causes Swelling In The Rib Cage After An Injury?
Hello I need to go to the doctor I know. I ripped or pull something in my side doing a cart wheel for my daughter and I get swelling like air in my left side on left edge of rib cage. It swells in the day but in the morning its much better but still swollen. Its been like this for almost a year. Irritating though.

You could probably have muscle tear problem or rib injury. I suggest you investigate with ultrasonography of local part to do further work up.
Meanwhile, you can be prescribed anti-inflammatory drug and hot compress can be beneficial. You can Consult Orthopaedic surgeon for detailed evaluation.
