What Causes Swelling In The Lower Leg And Ankles?
10 weeks post nondisplaced fibula fracture proximal end. Last week started experiencing lower leg, ankle & foot swelling, (this is new). I wake up with foot & ankle swelling, by end of day lower leg very heavy feeling & aches. Heating pad feels best, elevation, above heart doesn t diminish swelling. Do I need to be concerned? Was feeling ready to start exercising, but now not feeling comfortable.

this should not create any problem. take x-ray and with advise of orthopaedic surgeon wearing can be done and with it immobilisation for few days will help apply analgesic ointment and cold compression.this bone is not functional and does not have the role of weight bearing.take rest and donot go forexercise
