What Causes Swelling In The Leg After A Fall?
Hi my mom fell down from a motor bike and the paddle was hit hard on her leg . It was swollen like a tennis ball on that day and we have been putting ice on it . Now the place is filled with pus and the doctor is saying that the pus can be treated with anti biotic if we are lucky . I really dont know what to do . Can u please recomend a treatment method

it is slightly difficult to comment on the wound without examining it.
If pus is present the wound is infected and needs a course of antibiotic like amoxycillin/cloxacillin/azithromycin etc
She will also need anti-inflamatory drugs like flexon or ibugesic plus.
keep the wound clean by draining the abscess after starting antibiotics.
Use betadine lotion dressing. Use sterile gauze to obliterate the defect of wound so that wound heals from below.change dressing everyday or when soaked till there is no pus and then on alt day
also take Vitamin C.
