What Causes Swelling In The Left Ankle?
My left ankle is swollen on the inside of my leg. Now for several days. Not painful, but feels like a bruise when touched. No injury known. I do have a back problem that is causing nerve burning in my upper leg and some in my feet. (July 10th surgery to correct). I think this is a result of the nerve pinches. However, is there a chance of a blood clot?

In case of a blood clot, it is usually the whole circumference of the ankle which gets involved, not the inside only. However, I can stamp this after confirmation of Doppler ultrasound report of the case.
