What Causes Swelling In The Fingers After Injecting Methamphetamine?

I injected meth into my right hand/wrist about 3 to 4 hours ago and my fingers are freezing, tingling and swollen, along with swelling from finger tips to elbow. The worst is the unbearable pain. It was not a missed shot, but I m very concerned because I have little to no movement in this arm. Again, the swelling and pain has me in tears. I have almost no movement in this arm because of the pain. It s getting worse. Took aspirin, and ibuprofen. I had a blood transfusion in 2010 during an emergency surgery. Had to replace 5 units of blood that went into abdomen after failed tubal. I take 90 mgs of methadone daily as well. Yes, I have been up for a couple nights, and I was prescribed 1mg Xanax 3x a day for panic attacks but haven t had them in over a week. What s going on? I m so confused and scared. Help me please!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for using Ask A Doctor service.

The swelling in fingers narrate methamephentamine induced problem in the peripheral circulation.

I warrant immediate consulting at ER without any delay at home to cure without any inadvertent outcomes.

Take care.
