What Causes Swelling In The Feet And Ankles?

i am experiencing lower leg (bilat)/ Hand (bilat) edema, lower legs are reddened from shins down and warm to touch.. feet, ankles swollen also.. painfull to walk, feeling very bloated/ full and i just had rice for dinner.. face and eyelids seemed affected too. These symptoms have been present x 5 days despite my 1dose of Lasix 20 mg to relieve, daily. Tonight tingling in face and hands, nauseaus. Took 2 lasix today with slight relief. Coincidentally i had a Med change on my Gabapentin from 300mg BID to 300mg TID about 5-6 days prior. MD feels like that is not cause for symptoms... Please Advise.... do i need to worry?

Hi,

In my opinion tingling and nausea are drug side effects. But ankle edema and involving face may be angioedema. However you have not mentioned for how long you are on Lasix and only for ankle edema or something else.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
