What Causes Swelling In Finger Along With Pain Radiating To The Arm?

Hi I got a splinter today on my middle finger nuckle. I cannot see it and could not find it tryng to dig it out... I have a high pain tolerance and am in alot of pain. The pain consumes the whole finger and shoots up into my hand and sometimes my arm. I cannot straiten out my finger... my finger has swolen and has some discoloration. I have soaked it in epsom salt but am wondering if I should go the the walk in in the morning or if i should just keep soaking in epsom salts?

I really appreciate your concern, this could be inflammatory condition and can be best managed with 'Tab Ibuprofen 400 mg" three times in day instead of using some salt, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
