What Causes Swelling In Feet Of A Heart Patient?

My mom has many ailments such as Lupis, RA, congestive heart failure. She crippled feet and hands. Numerous surgeries on her back. All of thes factors Makes excercise impossible. She is no longer using her walker. She is using a power wheel chair. Her legs are now swelling with fluid. Are their any exercises she can do while sitting to improve her heart pumping? Recent ECO indicates 40%

I can understand your concern.
She is having edema feet mostly due to sitting in wheelchair.
Her ejection fraction is only 40%. So her body will accumulate fluid in dependent parts of body like feet.
So better to keep her legs elevated during sleep.
Put 2-3 pillows under feet when in bed.
She can take diuretics to remove extra fluid from the body.
I don't think she can do any exercise. And sorry to say but there is no exercise only wheelchair.
So follow things advised above. Once her swelling is reduced, she can start exercise.
