General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concerns.

There are various factors contributing to swollen feet during third trimester of pregnancy:
- kidney problems: urine analysis, abdominal ultrasound to rule them out (especially when it comes to the presence of albumin in the urine)
- compression of blood vessels draining from feet (veins) as your fetus is growing during this trimester.

It is common to have albuminuria (presence of albumin - protein in urine) during this trimester. You can discuss it further with your OG specialist.

Cardio-vascular problems should be also ruled out too.

All the best and God bless both of you!
