What Causes Swelling In Ankles And Legs While Suffering From Liver Failure?
My brother -64 - liver failure -acsites - told to drink 8 glasses of water a day on discharge from hospital 4 days ago and feet and ankles and legs swollen. On Lasix and Spiroalatactone - sp - should he be forcing himself to drink the water? I told him to stop until I spoke to a Dr. ? ?? Salt retention??

I really appreciate your concern, if this is the case of ascites then salt restriction is there but drinking more water is not advisable instead care need to he taken for over hydration, it is the case demands the close observation, or close medical monitoring is necessary hope this information helps.
