My pinkie nail turned red at base and from then it started swelling. Now it is twice it s size and burns a lot of the time. Fingernail looks like there is a fungus. Am taking Fluconazole ( 2 tablets once weekly ) for 6 weeks. Still swollen and looks deformed.

Well, it could be an ingrown nail. If it's infected you might have to show it to a general surgeon to see if there is pus under the nail. It's nothing serious, but a minor incision and drainage might be needed.
