What Causes Swelling Around The Anus?
I have mono, and i've had an extremely difficult time eating food. i've been drinking plenty of fluids, and trying to rest as much as possible, and just a couple days ago i noticed swelling around the outside of my anus, im wondering what exactly that is?

Local rectal and anal examination should be done to give comment on that. It can be Piles like condition or any inflammatory swelling.
For that Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug like Ibuprofen can be prescribed. Stool softener prescribed in Piles case.
Avoid excess spicy foods and use hot water sitz bath. Consult surgeon for proctoscopy examination.
