Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello. I just had my eyebrows sutured two days ago. Anyway, last night, I removed the bandage and cleaned the area. Before placing a new bandage, I applied some Terramycin. As I woke up, I realized that the wound and the area around it is slightly red and swollen. I did some research and found out that it could be due to the wound being infected. That or it s simply a natural reaction. I just wanted to know and understand how I can differentiate the natural reaction from the wound actually being infected. Thank you.
Take proper aseptic measure should have requested doctor to do the dressing. It appears there is inflammatory process. Signs are indicative of inflammation. You can consult the doctor who has given stitch.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
