What Causes Swelling And Stinging Sensation In The Mouth?

My mouth has swollen inside-- more on one side than the other. The tongue is also swollen and has a stinging sensation. I don,t think I had anything different to eat today. However something similar happened a few weeks ago and went away after a few days. I have been under a great deal of stress the last week or so. If I thought it food related I will write everything down that I can remember consuming in case it happens again. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you. Donna
